Have you added your photographic signature to NRDC and Oceana’s petition urging the Department of the Interior to abandon the proposal to allow seismic testing in the Atlantic Ocean?
If not, you may be wondering what a “photographic signature” is! It’s pretty simple: you just upload your Facebook profile photo or other photo of your choice here, and that serves as a “signature” to the petition. After we gather all the signatures, NRDC and Oceana will deliver ALL of the photos to the Department of the Interior (DOI).
I've already added my photo signature to help save whales and dolphins. Take a look:

Please take a moment right now to take action. We don't have much time to stop plans to allow seismic testing in the Atlantic Ocean. Seismic testing will have devastating effects on ocean wildlife, and will open the door to even more offshore drilling.
Basically, seismic testing involves arrays of high-volume airguns that are towed behind ships, continuously firing intense impulses of compressed air – almost as loud as explosives. Acoustically, it’s the equivalent of blasting dynamite in your neighborhood about every 10 seconds.

Even the government admits it could injure hundreds of thousands of marine mammals and disrupt marine mammal feeding, calving, breeding, and other vital activities more than 13.5 million times. Add your profile picture by December 14 to protect whales and dolphins from seismic testing!
If you’re not on Facebook you can also sign our traditional-style petition here. Just make sure you do it by December 14!
