Opinions and observations from environmental experts, activists, and luminaries
This is great news. However, as one who has environmental & law degrees, passion and experience, I feel neglected when "green jobs" are discussed. Articles like this only seem to focus on technical and blue collar jobs popping up in the clean energy field, not any other kinds that may be less technically oriented. These types of articles often seem to focus on targeting people who don't have experience in any environmental areas and need further training. If the buzz phrase is going to be "green jobs", then this should encompass ALL types of environmental jobs...from the energy, natural resources, ecology, advocacy, education, law, communications sectors and everything in between. Those of us who have made it our life's work and are under or unemployed during this time ARE out here looking for green jobs already, and we likely won't need much training. Please pay attention to us too!
