PHOTOS: Pipeline Protest at the White House
People came to Washington, D.C., from Nebraska and across the country on Saturday to protest the Keystone XL pipeline, a TransCanada project that would ship dirty tar sands oil from northern Alberta to the Gulf Coast. Thousands of participants stood several people deep in order to ring the White House and called on President Obama and the State Department to reject the pipeline, which would cross Nebraska's Ogallala Aquifer and other sensitive areas.
