VIDEO: The Making of OnEarth's Fall 2012 Cover

Tia Magallon has photographed the last nine magazine covers for OnEarth. Our "Arctic Fever" issue for Spring 2011 won the ASME/Amazon Best Cover for Science and Nature. For our Fall 2012 issue, she photographed the image for contributing editor Elizabeth Royte's story about efforts to feed more New Yorkers with fresh, local food grown by upstate farmers, instead of with imported produce from around the country -- and the world. The story will be online next week and in mailboxes soon.
