VIDEO: The Future of Farming
Frank Muller operates a large-scale farm in Northern California, where he's working to make his fields more sustainable and economical. With the help of a new tool called the Stewardship Index for Specialty Crops, other large-scale farms could mirror Muller's success by combining the best practices of commercial and organic agriculture. As food journalist Frederick Kaufman reports in the next issue of OnEarth magazine (see "What's New for Dinner"), that could change the future of farming.

I want to find out more about the underground irrigation system he talked about. I live in Northern Arizona and we have cooler weather then the southern part of the state but water is always an issue. I think this system would work great for my home garden.
I hope they are requiring non GMO products to obtain this certification!
