Thanks to the presence of President Barack Obama in Copenhagen, we can surely hope that December 18, 2009 marks the first day the human community actually moves decisively to save the future for the children and coming generations rather than willfully and recklessly continue engaging in the very same, unbridled, business-as-usual overproduction, overconsumption and overpopulation activities that gave rise to the converging global threats which have put human wellbeing and environmental health at risk in our time.
