Urban Harvest

Confronting climate change and poverty, a new crop of city farmers comes of age in Africa.
Guardian Environmental Network

Public is waking up to the truth about global warming. It is caused by the fluctuation in the sun's output (11 year solar cycle). It definitely isn't CO2. CO2 makes up less than .38% of all greenhouse gases and man-made CO2 only accounts for about 1/3 of that. Also, you should note that CO2 levels are determined by the earth's temperature and not the other way around.

I do support the use of renewable energies and energy conservation to reduce pollution and stop wars for oil.

I'm entirely with you Ben. Google is in a key position to allocate their resources and create a nexus of information on environmental status, and all that implies. Have you contacted Google? Made a pitch? Maybe they've already thought of it. Maybe they're working on it right now. Or, maybe, despite their colorfully innovative brain pans, they haven't--in the cohesive, comprehensive forum you are discussing. Give them a shout--a loud one. Because whether or not we are driving climate change (I believe we are, but previous commenter Michael seems to believe our contribution is negligible.) we need a place to pool what is pertinent information. This is after all, they say, the environmental age. Shouldn't the pioneers of how we search out information, change the way we gain insight and understanding of our environmental quandary?

Only if they hear from you in time.

Thanks for your comment, Andy. I actually have been in contact. They're doing some really good work now that I'm sure they'll continue in the coming months, if not years. I'll let you know when and if I have any updates.

Cheers,
Ben

i am sita karki form the hmalayan country of Nepal. We have been the small country in the risk of global climate change. The bigger nation are not aware of the fragile Himalayas that are too fragile due to climate change. the smallest of the smallest effort on their part could give the himalaya like Mount Everest the rejuvenation.

Nothing affects severely fragile himalaya like the climate change. The existence of Mount Everest and other mountains are rapidly encroached by global warming

for the developed countries who are not aware of this effect of global climate change i want to say;

by stepping down few stairs,
billions can step up
by losing some bucks
million can earn much
you are the one who can
give lasting smile
on those waiting to be sinked
