Lauren, We are are a team of energy efficiency consultants and our company has been steadily growing for the past 5 years (even during the recession). So the Midwest needs needs energy efficiency experts and the field is growing. Surprisingly, one of the toughest issues our company has (and some of our peers) is finding technically strong engineers with with experience in industrial and HVAC energy efficiency. There are a lot of engineers out there, but there is still a lag in developing ones with strong understandings of energy efficiency and how to apply it. Luckily, most of the university in the area are quickly developing engineering programs geared around energy and energy efficiency. We wish it would come faster. Peter
